Interesting article by Anatole Kaletsky from Aug 2012. Suddenly, quantitative easing for the people seems possible.

"QE for jobs" is a new campaign focus for Positive Money, asking for £50bn to be created by the BoE and spent by the government on things like schools and renewable energy.

And even the Treasury have said that it is possible, in their March 2013 review of the monetary policy framework.
