Recently there has been talk about SMEs, how they would fair under the PM proposals and how we might reach out to them to involve them in the campaign... I don't think I am knowledgeable enough or interested enough in this aspect of the PM campaign to offer much help. I have been wondering lately how well anyone can predict the workings of finance in a 'post reform system', as the proposed changes are so fundamental (and the economy so complex) that unpredictable consequences seem possible/ likely. I do not have a technical knowledge of economic systems, but I am interested in the philosophical underpinnings of a society not built upon huge impersonal debts- as a guiding principle this would seem to me likely to lead to positive outcomes (predicted or not). However, I think that the average small business person just wants access to the necessary resources to set up or modernise or expand etc. I've not got any ideas about how to involve them in PM.
